Abrams Falls

Abrams Falls is a 65' true drop waterfall in a large horseshoe shaped eroded rock canyon. There is very little info about it in books or on the internet. An average of one person per year is killed by falling from the rim. The trail begins at the end of Abrams Falls Road and is on private property. No evidence of anti-trespassing signs were visible.

DANGER: This is a very dangerous waterfall to approach. It is not advertised because more visitors per year would likely raise the death toll. Be VERY careful.

10/17/2004 - Visited Abrams Falls for the first time. Wow! This thing is incredible.. A must see!

3/29/2005 - I and 5 co-workers headed straight here right after work. Lots of rain in the past few days had the side falls flowing pretty good.

~1mi roundtrip. This shows both the dangerous trail close to the creek and the safer high trail.
