Cove Creek is just north of Stanleytown in Scott County Virginia. It's situated primarily in Jefferson National Forest and is in an area that saw lots of coal mining in previous years.

3/19/2005 - Hiked about 3 miles up an old road never straying far from the creek. No significant waterfalls but lots of slides, small cascades and small falls from feeder streams. Two tough crossings along the way.
3/2/2008 - After hiking nearby, stopped at the creek for a few shots while the sun's light was fading.
