The Elk had been up quite a bit but was no longer flooding the AT that meanders beside it for a mile or so

The AT follows the river for a ways on an old road, closed to vehicles now though

Spotted 3 snakes in the mud on the river bank

Look how the flash brought out different colors and patterns, more color than there really was via the naked eye

A ways down the AT in a grassy area overlooking the river is a designated camp site
