Painter Creek Falls is a 200' cascading waterfall in Washington County. It is not heavily visited being fairly remote and private property crossings being required most any way it's approached. All of it is difficult to see, separately or all at once. Info HERE
12/4/2004 - The Greeneville Hiking Club made a second attempt for this falls and I tagged along. We came in from Cassi creek thanks to a generous offer from the landowner to park and cross private property just a few hundred yards from the national forest boundary. Went up Cassi creek a ways before turning left on an old logging road beside an unnamed creek. One-Way: 4.2mi, 3:17, 1100' elevation gain, 400' elevation drop to the falls, almost crawling through laurel the last half mile. Probably a dozen creek crossings each way, some fairly difficult.
