8/7/2004 - After visiting Crabtree Falls, continued down the Parkway and checked out Mt. Mitchell. It's one of the windiest and coldest places in the Eastern US. Could not have asked for a better day. Warm and basically no wind at all. Clear skies provided a magnificent view.
